Original Set of 7 Tin Yellowlegs, 3 sticks, and the Original Box!, by Strater and Sohier, Boston Mass. Ca. 1874.

Great original set of 7 Yellowlegs in thier original wood box! These birds all have strong paint but some do have some chipping. Paint was originally thick on these birds and they were working birds but still pretty great. I have pictures of the box for those who are interested. Set came out of an Cape Cod estate. Good condition.

Lumberyard Flattie Golden Plover, New Hampshire. Ca. 1900.

As nice as they get 100% original with some paint loss on one side. Excellent example with carved wing tips. In feeding position. Excellent bird. Similar example in Fleckenstein's Shorebird book, bird #72 - same maker. Also one in the April 2003 Guyette and Schmidt auction catalog from the same maker brought well over $3000. Bill is all original.

$1100

Massachusetts Turnstone Ruddy. Unknown Carver. Ca. 1900.

Rare species with very original and stunning 100% original paint. Stands in a nice feeding position. Original bill does have an old small chip on the one side which is visible in the photo above. This is an excellent example.
